TEAM COMPETITION

The 5K Team Competition runs concurrently with the individual 5K Run and is comprised of two divisions; the Public Safety Division and the Civilian Division.

PUBLIC SAFETY TEAMS are comprised of men and women working in public safety as sworn law enforcement officers, firefighters, EMT personnel, or a combination of members from all three disciplines. They cannot include civilian members. Departments can have as many teams as desired or join with other departments to form a team.

In special recognition of those in public safety, the Heroes of Public Safety Trophy is awarded to the winning public safety team for display in their department.

CIVILIAN TEAMS can include both civilian and public safety team members.  Teams comprised of co-workers, families and friends will be competing to win the Pillars of Public Safety Trophy in recognition of their support for the men and women that serve and protect.

ALL TEAMS are to be comprised of 4 (minimum) to 10 (maximum) members and must have a team name. They can be all male, all female, or co-ed and can be of any age. The finish times for the first 4 team members will count towards the final team score with the accumulative time determining the team’s overall finishing place. All team members (max. of 10) in the top 3 teams will receive an award.
