The Heroes Tour is an escorted, motorcycle ride established to honor the brave men and women of public safety and the military who have given their lives in service to their communities and country.

In conjunction with the Beyond the Badge Run & Walk, the Heroes Tour serves to raise additional money for the Jason M. Baker Scholarship Fund.

A large segment of the biker community is made up of public safety officers and military personnel, both active and retired. As a Viet Nam veteran, law enforcement officer and avid rider himself, Jerry Baker sought to continue the work that was started with the Run & Walk and spread the message of honor and thanks to a group so well known for American ideals and values.

In keeping with the theme, “A Time to Say Thanks”, the Heroes Tour visits public safety and military memorials throughout Indiana to pay tribute to those that have fallen in the line of duty. At each memorial stop riders will learn about the history and circumstances surrounding the creation of the memorial, as well as, a chance to meet family members, friends and colleagues of the individual for which the memorial is dedicated. The tour visits different memorials each year.

In addition to the various Indiana public safety and military memorials, the Heroes Tour includes a tour of beautiful Crown Hill Cemetery with a ride over "The Hill”, the highest point in Marion County and stops at the Heroes of Public Safety Memorial and the Field of Valor, Crown Hill’s newest military section. Brief ceremonies are held at each memorial that includes a tribute to those that have fallen in the line of duty, the playing of Taps at the Field of Valor and the playing of Amazing Grace at the Heroes of Public Safety Memorial and concluding with the placement of flags at each memorial.

The Tour concludes with a post-ride party at the Icehouse Restaurant and Pub in downtown Indianapolis where live music, food and drinks and fantastic door prizes are provided.
